FULL DAY TOUR

The must

Here’s a perfect way to experience Montréal’s culinary diversity. Start with a sampling of exciting new trends and tasty traditions in Old Montréal before trying an exotic treat on the bustling streets of Chinatown. From there, you’ll discover the smorgasbord of shops and eateries along lively Saint- Laurent Boulevard and enjoy a few local favourites like poutine, bagels and smoked meat. Later, you’re off to the open-air Jean-Talon Market, the biggest of its kind in North America, to savour the incredible cornucopia of fruits and vegetables grown by Québec producers. Your return trip takes you to the upscale Saint-Denis Street for a glimpse of some of the hottest dining spots in town.

HALF DAY TOURS

Behind the scenes

Discover the people and the history behind many of our locally grown products as you follow the Chemin des Patriotes, a splendid historic circuit in the verdant Richelieu Valley. At the Clos Saint-Denis, owner Guy Tardif will treat you to some of his pomme de glace (iced apple wine), an extraordinary ambrosia also used in making fine chocolates and cheeses. Step back into colonialera Québec at the Fourquet Fourchette for a sampling of traditional French Canadian and Amerindian delicacies incorporating a variety of beers from Unibroue, one of the province’s leading microbreweries.

Get in on the act

Dreamed of tapping into the secrets of a world-class chef? We’ve got the tour for you. From choosing ultrafresh produce to cooking in the kitchen, you’ll spend many delicious hours in the company of chef Benoît Latulippe and learn the muchcoveted tricks of the trade. Roll up your sleeves—you’ll be working right alongside him as he prepares a seasonal dish specially for you!

Meet a Montrealer

Learn the art of entertaining from the very best. Here’s a perfect opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes peek at the city’s elegant new boutique hotels, the Hotel Place d’Armes and the Hôtel Nelligan. Not only will you have a chance to chat with owners/operators Costa and Tony Antonopoulos, you’ll sit down to tea and talk on the art of table setting in the luxurious surroundings of these architectural and historical gems in the heart of Old Montréal.

When night falls

Treat your taste buds to a night on the town with a progressive dinner at three of Montréal’s star-studded restaurants. Savour an irresistible appetizer created by a renowned chef at the first restaurant, followed by an mouthwatering entrée at the second. Leave some room for your sweet tooth and cap things off with a dessert and digestif at your evening’s third and final destination.

Uniquely Montréal

No need to travel the world in search of foods from lands afar—simply head to Montréal. We’ll show you where to unearth a treasure trove of exotic ingredients, savoury spices and toothsome sweets in a wealth of Asian, Portuguese and Middle Eastern shops, stores and restaurants—plus, you’ll pick up some great food tips from local chef Elena Faïta.
